Farmer's market returns to La Quinta

The scent of fresh fruits and vegetables warming under the desert's sun returned to Old Town La Quinta on Sunday.

Certified farmers markets are sprouting up across the Coachella Valley in time for the fall harvest.

The new season in Palm Springs started Saturday. Palm Desert and Cathedral City shoppers can expect their markets to open Wednesday and Saturday, respectively.
