Go Red for Women' Fashion Luncheon

(La Quinta, CA) Old Town La Quinta will support the Go Red for Women movement this Saturday, February 7th, with a fashion luncheon at Hog's Breath Inn, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

The event will feature a heart-healthy menu created by Chef Kelly Walling, as well as fashion and jewelry models from The Boutique at Old Town, Tarah Jade, Elizabeth & Prince, Tink Boutique, Rich & Famous Celebrity Jewelry and Homec Jewelry. All fashions and jewelry modeled during the event can be purchased at these Old Town shops, with a portion that day's sales being donated to the American Heart Association as part of the 'Go Red' campaign.

"We're so pleased to be involved in 'Go Red for Women,'" said Leslie Locken, Old Town La Quinta's Marketing and Property Manager "It's a great way for women to help support the cause enjoying an afternoon out with girlfriends, shopping and dining at Old Town, while contributing to this worthy cause. We want to do our part to help spread awareness of heart disease in women and encourage heart check-ups, particularly for those at risk."

In addition, Old Town La Quinta will donate three $50 gift certificates to be given away in a raffle as part of this event, with one winner to be drawn each hour of the luncheon.

Another 'Go Red' event will be held by Homec Jewelry in its store the evening prior to the luncheon, Friday, February 6th, from 6:00-9:00 p.m. Meet jewelry designer Mark Silverstein at a this special champagne reception. A portion of the proceeds from sales at this event will benefit the 21st Annual American Heart Association Gala. On Saturday, the 7th, Silverstein will also be onsite from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. as part of Old Town's 'Go Red' shopping day.
