The Grill on Main to Open in Old Town La Quinta
Mark Sontz Announced as General Manager, and Local Chef Erik Salas to Bring New Twists to Old Favorites

(La Quinta, CA) – The new ‘place to be’ will soon open in Old Town La Quinta – providing a relaxed casual atmosphere to meet up with friends, neighbors and colleagues while enjoying a fresh take on Classic American Fare, as well as specialty micro-brews and a full bar.
The Grill on Main welcomes restaurant veteran Mark Sontz as its General Manager (GM) – who has been the GM at popular desert dining destinations such as Desert Sage and Omri & Boni. A certified sommelier, he has 35 years of management experience.
“I’m thrilled to be a member of the opening team of The Grill on Main,” said Sontz. “Old Town La Quinta is such a prime location for a restaurant like this. It’s a place where people can meet up, kick back and catch up while enjoying fabulous food and drink.”
The Grill on Main is also pleased to have recruited Erik Salas as its Chef. Salas, who grew up in the desert and is a graduate of Palm Desert High School, has a broad spectrum of restaurant experience. Salas was most recently with Morgan’s at La Quinta Resort, and prior to that he has been with respected establishments such as Pacifica and Sullivan’s Steakhouse.
The Grill on Main will be open for lunch and dinner, providing patio dining and daily specials. The menu will include a broad range of cuisine including appetizers, traditional American fare and specialty burgers.
Scheduled to open in mid-December, The Grill on Main is located at 78065 Main Street in the center of Old Town La Quinta. Hours will be 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Meet, unwind and dine at The Grill on Main – La Quinta’s neighborhood bar and grill!
